How does it make you feel when someone says that they're praying for you? Is that offensive?

If she's really attractive, I may just answer her prayers ;)

Seriously, it's not offensive. It's no different than wishing good luck to those who don't believe in luck...

I tell them I am praying for them and I am praying for them I do not in any way mean to be offensive. I never tell anyone that I'll pray and then not do it! Praying for someone is not an insult! To pray for someone is a very loving and kind thing to do! We are as Christians instructed to do this in the Bible. I mean every word and believe me when I say my prayers are kind and loving. Always! I would never ever use God to offend some one!
That is not the way of the Lord!

Yes, it's offensive. Don't do it.

One time, when I had some health troubles, a coworker said he would 'pray for me'.

I'm a Systems Programmer, and technical. A few days later, this same guy asked me for help with his program.

I answered, "ok, I'll pray for you."

Not as much as when they tell me I'm going to hell and that I should be ripped apart for not believing exactly what they believe..

If someone is praying for me, it means that in some deluded way the kind of care, even if I think it will bring nothing..

Oh no I'm delight to be prayed for. You people condemn me to Hell so often it is nice to know others of you are praying to keep me out. It sort of makes me feel like a bouncing ball sometimes though. God Bless Kisses.

Not really offensive, it's just that most of the time on here anyways, it just seems to be a way of saying look at how superior I am.

It's rather along the lines of someone cooking asparagus for me. I don't eat asparagus, but I appreciate the effort.

Answer:
I will hope for you.

When asked, say what you'll hope for - that they'll be able to break through their conditioning and be saved from religion.
