Yorkies do have there tails docked. If you get a puppies tail docked it needs to be done between 2 and 5 days. they do them so young because they do not have as much feeling in their tails when they are that young. It is usually preferred to have their tails docked at the youngest age possible. Also if you are goin to get tails docked it is best to have a vet or a professional licenced groomer do it.

Yorkies are not a natural bob tailed breed there for you must have the tails docked shortly after birth. Same as poodles, cockers, JRT, boxers, dobies and some bulldogs and bostons. I'm not into it my self but i do believe that if it must be done have a vet do it and don't chop their tails off with a kitchen knife or rusty old scissors, like some back yard breeders do.

i live in ausrtalia and docking is illegal here. the yorkie's here (unless imported) have long tails (not overly long, but longer than it is after docking) because of this. no offense to anyone who likes docking, but i dont. i just think it is unnecessary...purely aesthetic. but thats only one person out of a million's opinion. in answer to ur question, yes, some breeders dock the tails at around 3-7 days old.

you're going to shrink them off? Geezus no. Sorry yet i do not trust you that you've unaltered cats of both truly a style of breeds. From what breeder even as maximum breeders modify in the previous they promote their kittens? The "deformed tails" also only obviously exhibits your cat develop into no longer a Bobtail only a cat with a start disorder that he exceeded on to his kittens. What the hell were you questioning breeding those cats? Get the kittens to a vet to be regarded at at cutting-edge. shame on you for making no breed kittens.

I also do not agree with docking. I don't see how its different from cutting off a baby's toe when its born.
