I drink a ton of Diet Coke myself. In terms of gaining weight, it's not gonna make you gain weight. However, I'm not sure how healthy it is for you since it uses artificial sweeteners. Water is always a better and safer choice, but I think I have an addiction. Damn you Diet Coke!!!

Water lacks all the chemicals that soda does. So you'd be doing your body a lot of good. Also while it may not have any sugar, diet soda is still sweet due to the chemicals they replace sugar with. While they may not have any calories, they do contain many other things which aren't helpful to your body and your teeth. Diet soda wrecks your teeth as much as regular soda, so you'd be saving in terms of dental work too.

Yes, it is unhealthy to drink alot of diet pop because it eats the enamel off of your teeth and it is really actually is worse for you than reagular pop. By drinking water more you will me more hydrated because pop just makes you more thirsty because of all the sodium in it.
I ADVISE YOU TO STOP DRINKING DIET POP! (or any pop in general)

Water is bad for you. I don't trust anything I can see through. I can see through glass. What would happen if I drank a smoothie made out of shards of glass? Now I got you thinking...
I drink pop and coffee instead of water. I read an article once about a study they* did that found if you drink pop instead of water, your body kind of adapts to it and it's really not that bad. So rest easy. When you do a hard workout, bring a can of Mountain Dew along rather than bottled water. Your body will thank you for not putting it through the shock of an unnecessary, demoralizing transition to water. Plus, sugar gives you tons of that much-needed energy! I don't know about you, but when I hiked down to the bottom of the grand canyon, I filled my Camelbak with rootbeer.
*not quite sure who, but I think it was some company called "Pepsi?"

Swithing to water has only one, but very important benefit: you will not load your body with absolutely unnesessary and unhealthy ingredients.
Gaining or not gainig weight is not the only point here.
Artifitial sweeteners are very unhealthy.

too much of anything is bad. You could alternate the water with the pop. Everyone needs water.
