what do you think about getting a world ban radio?

I'm trying to increase my radio options an am thinking about getting a world radio. what can I pick up. I live in Gainesville GA.

You'll be able to pick up the shortwave broadcasts from other countries in the world. Many have schedules posted on the web when they broadcast in English. You will be able to hear other viewpoints about the world as well as different music (but not in stereo). Just remember, some of those news broadcasts are put out by government news agencies that highly censor the news and opinions on their broadcasts, so they may not fully represent reality.
