Girls can be hard to talk to. You just have to find the right one. If you can find someone who is extermely outgoing and doesn't have a problem starting conversation then the conversation will come to you with ease. If she's not you will just have to find a common interest to get a topic going which will hopefully lead to many more.

My husband is very shy too and from what I hear from his mother (I hope he doesn't read this!) he used to have a hard time talking to girls. Be yourself. Think of something that you both have an interest in. Do you both like the same kind of cars? Do you both love to eat pizza? Horror flicks? Same church? Family from the same town? Go to the same school or work together? Start off by talking about common ground, something that comes natural to you that is easy to talk about. Obviously something you have some knowledge about. Quiet guys do win the girls too you know. In the long run, we aren't looking for a loud mouth show off. We would love to tell you all of our secrets and know that the rest of the block isn't going to know them to by the end of the night.

sometimes shy is a good thing. but it's also bad, because if they are even semi-interested, they might think you're an a$$ because you don't talk or they think you're not interested. just relax, it's not like they'll bite you. and if they aren't interested, the worst that could happen is that your pride is hurt for a day or two. it's not like it'll follow you for the rest of your life and haunt you. relax. and keep in mind that a confident person is very attractive. but a vain and self centered person is not. good luck

One tip watch 40 year old virgin and ask yourself do you want to star in the unfunny version of that.
Serious tip: Try to shed some of your shyness each day and just start talking to women any women with no specific goal in mind and soon you will be talking up a storm to any woman and one day the one you want to keep.

be yourself only less sober. alcohol is nature's social lubricant, but only if your over 21. so if you're a minor you should probably just hide until you go to college, that or join the military, chicks dig a guy in uniform, its a conversation piece, unless well, you're in the navy, its an unforgiving uniform, chicks will flock to you, but for the wrong reasons.

take some big breaths and RELAX, girls like a guy who is chilled. Start with "hey i'm michael, how you doin?". Then make comments about where you are, what she did today etc. You'll be in for sure!

it depends on how old you are
in general -- just be nice and polite to the girls. open doors for them, pick up whatever if they dropped something. say hello to them. just being nice to them and over time they will probably start coming up to you because you will be one of the nicest guys.
