Wellbutrin extended release helps with a variety of conditions. It will help with depression, social anxiety and other anxiety disorders. It is a good medication. If it doesn't seem to help with your anxiety as much as you feel it should, you should talk to your doctor about maybe taking another med along with this.

yes it is an antidepressant that can help a number of conditions...anxiety and depression included. I know of a few people that have taken this for the most part they liked it but i also know a couple of people where it actually intensified their anxiety which is not unheard of with any of the drugs, it's just a chance that you have to take. Keep in mind you should give it a couple of weeks until you feel the effects, if it helps then great but if you find you dont like it there are many others to try until you get the right meds that help, a lot of people go through this. Good luck with everything.

Wellbutrin XL is a good medication. Of course every individual is different so you will have to go by the way you are feeling and be honest with your Dr. tell him if you are still feeling the anxiety as if you are he may need to put you on something else or on a higher dose 4-6 weeks down the road. Work with your Dr. they will fine the right meds to help you out. Mine did!

Wellbutrin MADE me nervous. It kept my muscles in a constant state of readiness, as if I were preparing to sprint or something, even when I was trying to sit still. It made sleeping very difficult.
This was just my experience with it.
I am sorry to hear of your troubles. Have you tried some other methods such as a very healthy diet, good nutritional supplements, lots of exercise, a change of routine, making a plan for your life, exerting some control over your environment, plenty of sleep, reading and researching your condition, staying away from people and situations that bring you down, taking some classes in something that interests you, etc.?
Best wishes with everything.

I am so happy, it was only a 35 minute drive ( 70 minutes total) but absolutely no sign of anxiety or panic i shopped till I dropped - brilliant! I will now go for the next stage DUAL CARRIAGE way, probably at the weekend, with my husband accompanying me first then the solo drive, if successful the final stage of driving on motorway

i took them for a year and that was long ago, i been very well with not signs of depression or nightmares, but not skip a day and if you feel better do not stop taking them, wait till your doctor tells you to.
