My doctor is out of town and I have an appointment schedulled for tuesday but i´m kind of worried that´s why I´m asking this here.
I had some urine tests and although everything seems normal there are 5 mg/dl of cetonic bodies in it, I know this happens to diabetics but I´m not, there´s no sugar in my urine and the level of sugar in my blood is normal (88). I had other tests 3 weeks ago and the cetonic bodies were zero. What it this and what does it mean.

The discovery of ketones in urine should be taken seriously, it will indicate a bad treatment evolution and we should not wait to treat it.

Finding the causes will be useful in order to avoid the appearance of this incident and we will try to understand the reason of this toxic waste in the organism.

also known as ketones which will be found in diabetics

It probably is some metabolic alteration, and we`d have to see the rest of the Urianalisis...dont worry about it too much. I dont believe youre in direct or immediate danger and you can wait until Tuesday to see your physician and find out a cause. Causes are variable but in my experience listing the causes only stresses the patient.. they usually forget about the minor causes and belive they have the less common serious ones. So, if the rest of your tests are fine, be at ease and see your physician on tuesday.
Have a good weekend.
