Not in the sense of the way you are using the word church, no. But we are all a part of the invisible kingdom of God that binds all believers by the knowledge of Christ.

The Rome Catholic church and the Greek Orthodox church.... These are two churches were founded by Jesus' disciples. Jesus who had disciples (12 apostles including Judas replacement) founded others. After Pentecost, the twelve went out to teach all nations. Paul and Peter went to Rome. The other 11 went elsewhere. There was one Jesus and twelve (apostles -- messengers).
Right from the beginning that there were differences. Paul letters document these differences, and Peter had not left for Rome.
The Rome Empire split into the West and the East after Constantine death. Christianity was divided into two regions, Roman Catholic and the Greek (Hellene) Orthodox churches. There are others such as Coptic. Under Constantine, the pope was made the Roman pontiff. The Roman Catholic Church is exactly that: It is a Roman version of Christianity.
Your statement the "first there was catholic" is incorrect. You talk about Christianity as if man owns it, hence he could agree and compromises. Christianity belongs to God, not man. You can find what God says about it in his book, the bible. You may know of some other source of information, but for now, you had better start with a written one.
Answer: There was no one church, but one Christ Jesus. When the apostles went out, the message splintered at the beginning. The best we can do is to try to understand what Jesus taught and make his teaching our own. What is the point having one Christianity if it does not follow Christ?

The first church was not the Catholic church...the leaders of the first church were humble people who believed in living as Christ did. The Catholic church was developed about 300 + years later by the Romans...that is why it is called the Roman Catholic Church. They developed it in an effort to hang on to the power they were losing to the popularity of Christianity. The idea of, "if you can't beat them, join them" came from this. As the Romans did before Christianity...they would enter, conquer, and adapt the religion of the region to fit it's own needs. Before Christianity, the most popular deity of the pantheon was Apollo, the god of the sun...the day people went to party at his temple was called Deis Solis...or Sunday. There is all kinds of historical evidence proving that this new church, the Roman Catholic Church was a political ploy to maintain control, they even made coins to commemorate this new hybrid of the faith of what we call Christianity, and the Pantheon one side would have an image of Apollo, and the other a cross, and the words Deis Solis...they didn't realize the extent of the damage that church would wreak upon the world, which launched the Dark Ages, and destruction to everyone who wanted to follow their conscience instead of the Pontiff. This is a reason I can not follow that so called 'first church' and why so many other people will not accept a one church idea. It should not happen until Christ returns, because if we have one human in charge of how we should believe, we will revert to Dark Ages philosophy...mind control and brain washing. You think Islam is bad? Wait until you see the terror of a 'Christian' nation.

Definitely yes, when the mature humanity learn to realize that there is One Creator for all physical and spiritual worlds.
It is easy now, because we see the urgent need for a world unity, world compassion and world governance to solve the global problems which are beyond the power of separate nations and separate churches. And also we have all the Holy Books easily accessible on the Internet for each mature individual to read and to make independent considerations. We no longer get confused with the hearsays or with outdated pressures.

If you'll go back thousands of years earlier to ancient Egyptian culture God was considered to be a woman known as goddess. Somewhere about the time that Judaism got its start, God was changed into a man. The believers were subservient (they always are)and were told to believe that God was a man. Man has power over God and can make God into any gender that they want. There can never be one church until God, not a religion names the true faith. Don't hold your breath waiting.

>>compromise to create one Christian Church<<
There can be no compromise when it comes to revealed truth. Protestants need to repent of their heresy and schism and come into full communion with the Catholic Church. That is what I did!

there are too many different ideas out there to make one church again. even if we could condolidate all of the ideas into one belief system, it would only last for 10 years, at most. then there would be sects again.

Well it's prophetic that there will be one church in the future.. the antichrist will rise up and form one government, one rule, one religion - one church. But this of course will be false doctrine based when he attempts this.
The REAL "one-church" will be in Heaven
