Mac, if you are really 11yrs old I do not think you should be on the computer here let alone speaking with men. What setting did this take place? We have limited information, but I am worried for you.
Now to answer the question. It was not right, but that is the way of the world. People will say hurtful things all the time. It will hurt even more when it comes from family and friends.
Fools will say in their heart there is no God, but relax God is not worried and you should not either.

that is a mean spirited thing to tell a child. Better one concentrate on the child's fears of gobblins and ghosts by telling him that it would be a wonderful thing to see these unearthly creatures, for it would be some indication that there is more to life than the human form. I was afraid of what lurked in the dark as a child, and realize it would have made life better for me if someone had explained there has never been a sighting of a ghost or form of afterlife that could not be explained.

One thing you do have to learn is that no matter what you believe there will always be someone that doesn't agree and will tell you that you are wrong. You are not too young to decide what the truth is. Talk to your parents, someone at church and read. What someone says cannot hurt you if you are strong in your belief.
May God Bless you.

Sweetie, I am so sorry that someone hurt you like that. Listen, I am an old lady compared to you, I am 60 yrs old, during my life I have had some very hard times come my way and Jesus helped me through them all. God is real and God is faithful. Don't let anyone try to destroy that part of you. Dry your eyes, Honey, and just remember that in this life you have to wear the full armour of God to protect that precious heart of yours. Stand firm in your faith,Child of God.

It's not about whether it is right or wrong that he said it. People are going to say things to you that will upset you as you go through life. You need to learn how to handle it. Right now youre a kid so you cried, but as you age you will learn to handle things more gracefully, and hopefully assertively. Get used to it as that is a big part of life.

Get over it! People are gonna say things to you that you don't wanna hear. Sometimes they're true, sometimes they're not. But you need to learn resilience. You can't live your life a frail little being who cries to strangers every time someone pisses you off. Stand on your own two feet no matter how old you are.

It isn't right what he said. I'm 25 years old, and that makes me want to cry. Jesus is my best friend, and when I need cheering up, I just start talking out loud to him. He listens to everyone's words and feels what everyone feels. There's a song I like to listen to when I need a cheering up, it's called " Just a Little Talk With Jesus". Try not to let it get you down too much. God is always there as is Jesus. And when we die, we will all be gathered in the kingdom of heaven, as long as Jesus is in your heart.

Is it wrong to tell someone the truth even if they're 11 years old? I don't think so. I have two kids, 6 and 10, and I tell them that same thing all the time. It doesn't make them cry, because they weren't brought up with their heads filled with superstitious nonsense. They are being raised to demand evidence for outrageous claims, to look for real answers with facts behind them and not fairy tales. They're happy, well-adjusted, doing great in school, and we have a great family.
Why should the truth upset you so much?
And why are your parents allowing an 11-year old to be on this forum all alone? Now *that* isn't right...

No sweet heart, it wasn't right. No matter your age he had no right to be mean.
I have met Christ. He is real and if you wish to know for yourself just look up and say, "Please show me you're real." He will do the rest. I am sorry if this person scared you. It is possible to express one's beliefs without causing pain and he should have been more careful with your heart.
All my love to you.
I promise if you ask, He will answer.

Sorry to hear that that dinkpants said something so hurtful to you.
Yeah that's what he is a dinkpants; instead of brains, he's got ants!
Oh yes he was W-R-O-N-G BIG TIME!!
Still the best part is to come; you don't have to believe him. You don't even have to listen to him.
