No, but a little boring. Add something more to it, like perhaps some sort of a riddle to make your secret crush start putting the pieces together about who the rose is from.

Good idea. Leave no trace that you were ever there. That will keep him wondering and interested in finding out. Then, after a week or so, or some length of time that you can determine yourself, leave rather vague hints as to your identity.

You shouldn't really get involved with workmates, it can become tricky. Place a rose on his desk though if you want to.
