You need to be on an antibiotic that the bacteria you have is not resistant too. Go see your doc and they can do a urinary analysis and be sure that what youre taking will get rid of the infection. In the mean time, Cranberry juice is good, but grapefruit and orange juice work even better. The acid eats away at the bacteria and prevent it from spreading as fast as it would without it. Water is very important as the infection can dehydrate you and damage your entire renal system. In my professional and personal opinion..you need to see your doc before the fevers and vomiting start my dear! Good luck!

No they don't. Get antibiotics or there's a chance it will spread to your kidneys. That hurts, I can tell you. Drink cranberry juice in the meantime. It stops the bacteria sticking to the urinary tract.

Occasionally they can if you catch them early and drink lots of cranberry, however, it is best not to rely on that course. If left untreated, it could cause damage to the bladder, and kidneys. Go see a doctor.

You can get over the counter treatment, why would you let it go unchecked?? Mine got into the bloodstream and I ended up with sepsis of the blood. In intensive care for two weeks. That is also what the Pope died from.
