To scare people into ethical moral behavior or to persuade them by false promises of what they instinctively desire. Pavlovian psychology...the flock was told they were sheep but they are really thought of as Pavlov's dogs.
Is why the they ring a bell in the High Mass at the Catholic Church ? Just kidding about that last part !

It shows in history that every society/civilization had a story about an epic flood, how the world came to being, what happens when we die, who "God" is, and lastly, when the world ends. You have so many prophecies pertaining to the end of the world, coming from so many sources, it isn't funny. For most, the bible is the foremost sought by a majority. But to others they look to "psychics" or other religions to determine what is the fate of theirselves or the world in general. To me, I will my own destiny and it's up to me if I'll be the next bill gates or donald trump. Or if I'll just live paycheck to paycheck. The idea of Judgement Day is to give hope to the hopeless who screwed up in the world and might have a shot of fixing it in the afterlife. Or in the world of Christianity, all believers of Christ will be resurrected and live in eternal paradise forever and ever. I suggest you search other religions take on this and compare notes and see which is your fits with your view on what you believe and/or already know. Hope my two cents helps in some shape or form.

If this were so, then, it would be futile but no-ones destiny is decided yet, you make your own destiny, and your beliefs and ideas will take you to where you are going, you are today in the place your steps took you yesterday, will be tommorrow where todays steps will take you. So you are deciding your own destiny, and what you do is what will decide your destiny, it is in your power to make it or break it! You decide so make good choices now, if you want to benefit from them, in the future!

Your destiny is known from the beginning because God is all-knowing. He made you. He knows how you work. Just because he knows what will happen, however, does not mean he decides what you do. He left that to you.

Judgment Day is really about restoring creation to the state God intended from the beginning. He made every being in existence at that time to love him and to love them in return. Certain of his creatures, namely Satan and other angels that Satan corrupted, wanted no part of that. Obviously it is impossible to share the joys of paradise with a loving God when others are trying to sever that relationship, either actively by picking fights and trying to make everyone miserable or passively by trying to distract them so that they turn away from God for other lesser pleasures. That's why God threw Satan out of heaven.

Satan knows he can't win. His way of getting even is to prevent others from entering paradise. This life is our opportunity to decide which camp we want to spend eternity with. God's world can only be the perfect utopia he intended if everyone in it wants to be with him more than they want other things. The pleasures from those things may seem nice, but they are inferior to God. God wants a world in which everyone experiences only the best pleasures and the most intense love they could ever feel. That is why people who don't want him have no place in his kingdom.

There is only one other group to hang out with. The most powerful beings in that group are demons who get off on havoc, hatred, and destruction. God won't be around to put on the brakes anymore. He won't be paying attention because he will be devoting his full attention to those who want to share eternity with him and with each other. You can imagine why things would quickly degenerate in the other world.

The point of Judgment Day is to separate once and for all those who don't want God from those who do.

You can think of it in another way that comes down to the same thing, and this may help you understand why even people who consider themselves decent people could end up in Hell. Here is the question: do you want to spend eternity with others who love you like family or with those who merely "tolerate" your existence? Somehow "tolerance" falls far short of fulfilling. That is why God rejects those who do not accept him. "Tolerance" is a survival strategy in this world. Survival in heaven is not a consideration but a given.

Yes. Judgment Day is that great day of justice where all the wrongs will be set right and all the good people of God will get their reward.

God already knows whos going to be saved, but we dont. Right here and now we have the choice to follow God and be saved. God simply can see the future and already knows what we have chosen.

judgement comes after death, u will be judged after death
but there could be a major judgement wherein everyone willbe judged, all at the same time
there is reincarnation and when u die , u will be judged and if u "fail" then u will be born again in this earth and thats another chance for u, infinite god means infinite chances of being saved

destiny is already decided, yes, as u can see in the bible, many things have been foretold there, and that means everythings has been dicided right fromthe start

apparently not or why a judgement day. Everyone is resurrected it says in John 5:28 the good the bad and the ugly.
Given another chance. If they mess up the second time and die they don't come back from that.

it is the public judging of every human that has ever lived.....
repeat: PUBLIC!!
God will open His Book, in which the life of every human is recorded, and confront each human being with his sins. God will then pronounce His Judgement.
my page in the book is blank, thanks to the cleansing blood of Jesus Christ.
yours can be.....
John 3: The Words of Jesus Christ (God in the flesh)
3. "Verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God."
4. Nicodemus saith unto Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"
5. Jesus answered, "Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God."
6. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
7. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again."
16. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
18. He that believeth on Him is not condemned; but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."
