I don't actually know God's plan, but could the unibrow be preparing humanity for the days when we finally get over the external issues we always concern ourselves with, and humanity finally goes deep and sees beneath the unimportant (shell) to the true heart and nature of ourselves?
Thereby we can start addressing any chance of humanity rising out of the mud, and actually reaching the stars.
