Get people to talk about themselves- ask her some q's about her family, what shows she watches on tv, favorite movie of all time, fav sport, why? Favorite color.. its endless.
Read the entertainment section of the news, brush up on current events before you head out.
I can sit with anyone for 4 hours and have non stop conversations!!

Dude, I had to re-read the question, i wrote a load of stuff about first dates and stuff, but it seems you already know the girl. So...
Be mean... If you have been nice to her too much then it's time to get mean, this always sparks conversation.
Now what I mean by mean is tease her, take the micky, joke about her. People haven't much progressed since childhood. In fact you were probably flirting with the opposite sex evey since you were a kid... You just never knew it.
Remember when you teased girls as a 7 year old? Well that was flirting. It was playful, nothing malicious just poking fun at her for being a girl.
Now as grown ups, many people stop this for fear of it being taken the wrong way. If you do it playfully and as a joke then it is fine.
How this works is it raises your status in her mind (subconciously) and she starts to respect you.
I have had a lot of success by going up to amazing girls, in bars, clubs and teasing them. This works because pretty girls have been told their whole life that they were pretty. So that route is not gonna work, you need to be different.
My opening line with my current girlfriend was "hey i really like your teeth, did you grow them all by yourself?"
She'd never been told that and she was intruiged by me.
I help my mates out with meeting and talking to girls and this is the advice that I give them.
To sum up, be jokey and funny, make jokes about yourself and about her, express your own opinion and if her's differ then take the micky out of her, it's cocky but not arrogant. You will never run out of conversation. Also suggest a date where you are actually doing something other than sit opposite each other at a restaurant or in a bar this gives you plenty to talk about... I took a science teacher to the London Science Museum, I took another gokarting and teased her for being rubbish, my current girlfriend I took on the London Eye and teased her when she pointed out landmarks and called them the wrong name. It's fun and you'll never run out of conversation.

rule number one dont try to keep a conversation going.....i mean u'll just end up sayin boring things and probably pissin her or him off.
