So, heres the thing. My bf is ne of those ppl thats like what u see is what u get. And he used 2 go out of his way for his ex gf's and they shoved all that back into his face. Im his first love and I mean hes always a phone call away when I need him but somethimes I feel like he takes me for granted and doesnt appriciate the things I do for him. he thanks me but he ends up probaly forgetting them. I was askin him if he wants 2 part for a while 2 focus on his life and to see how life would be w/o me and he started crying bc he cant be w/o me. I dont doubt that he loves me but why does he keep sayin he feels like hes taking me for granted and that there is someone out there that will treat me better than him. And why does he say why dont u break up w/ me when I mention him being disrespectful with me. Why do men realize what they had when its almost close to being gone? I love him, I wanna be with him and he wants to be with me but why is he taking the things I do for granted? Any advice??

It is easy for a person to get comfortable with what they have, but then they remember how good what they have is when it is threatened.
It's just like if you drive junk cars for a while and then you buy a nice car. It doesn't take long before you expect the car to start instead of praying that it will start. :)

I think he is trying to make sure that you love him and this is his way of assuring himself that you do. It is time for you to sit him down and tell him how you feel about his comments because it is clearly ruining things for the relationship. Maybe you should slow up on doing the things you do for him. Do a little more for yourself and he will start to realize that the things you use to do have stopped for a reason not a season. That should work.

Like you said, sometimes we don't know what we have until its about to be taken away, if he doesn't change the first few times then he won't. But if you truly love him then you gotta love his faults along with his strengths and you have to be happy with it, if you can't do that then it is time to move on.

he just trying to show himself. He feels that he is doing this to you. He thinks he is hurting you. You got to tell him that you already or something. Or he will be all emo on you and reach to depression. He is a kind guy, straight from the heart. The man is true to his soul.
