I imagine that they can get it too, so why is the talk about HPV only aimed at females?

This is why I think this drive is one of the most short sighted that I have ever seen. Males are half the reservoir for the virus. If you want to get rid of the virus, you treat everyone. It isn't a cancer vaccine, it is a virus vaccine. And it doesn't matter if it manifests itself as penile warts (or in gays, as anal warts), it's the virus we should be attacking.

There is no definitive method of testing males for HPV. Diagnosis is made anecdotally through the appearance of symptoms for which there is no other explanation.

Because when males get HPV they only get warts. When women get HPV it can lead to cervival cancer.

because in guys it doesn't have the capability to turn into cancer like it does in females.
