The other day i pulled on to a road just off my street. As it was cold and i just started my back windscreen was misted up. Aanyway the basic story is i was doin bout 40mph down this 30mph road (i no i shudnt but i travel on it every single day its long and straight with no houses near. ) I noticed headlights behind me but couldnt see anything else.it seemed to follow me but DIdnt think nothing of it until i got to a dual carridge way and the car overtook me (it was a police car!!!!). They didnt pull me over or nothing so it is possible to get caught speeding by a policecar and just get a letter sent through as if it were a speed camera. I am beginning to think they overtook me to get a picture of me. Please can any1 give me facts (not your opinion) on if police give out speeding tickets like this or if any1s had a similar experience. Does the traffic cars have technology to dish out speeding tickets without stopping the vehicle?. Please help !!!!

speeding cops is the norm where I live, They will do 80 it seems on a 55 mph road. I pretty much know the tolerances where I live.
On where Its very strict or they allow to 15 over. Ive done 10 sometimes and them pass especially those on the interstate.
All the time I run into either very slow cops ( going 10 below ) or ones going fast ( like 80 ). If they past you, you didn't get a speeding ticket. Usually the police where I live go after the extremes about 90 or above in a 70 mph zone.

Their would be no reason for the police unit not to pull you over if you were going to get a ticket. Most police forces do not have the funds to support the technology that it would take to form a satellite up link with picture capabilities. The only public vehicle that will make sure you receive a ticket in this situation is a school bus and only if their stop sign is released. You should have nothing to worry about unless u pissed of a speed dialing bus driver.

The answer is plain and simple you will not receive a speeding ticket. You have not been considered speeding by the police car that was behind you,and by law they would have to stop you there and then.Alot of policemen and women will not deem you speeding as long as you are in control of your vehicle and no pedestrians are at risk.So you can forget about it and remember in future to take care as the next police car may pull you over, and you will get a ticket.

that is amazingly not likely so that you'll be able to lose your license depending upon a unmarried hardship-free rushing infraction with out previous 'factors' on your license. i'm not conscious of everywhere contained in the U. S. the position that should be a chance. i have not heard of something like that contained in the united kingdom both. the precise regulation relies upon on the position you've been talked about, yet again, i will't imagine that being a lifelike problem for you. As you've considered different people the following say, that is finally as a lot as you to pay interest to the speed reduce everywhere you're driving. do not forget that the in hardship-free words element that concerns is YOUR velocity; in spite of everybody else is doing could have actual no concerning no matter if try to be got here upon in charge. when you're handed via ten automobiles in a row doing one hundred mph, and then you get stopped for going 70 in a sixty 5 zone...you're nonetheless rushing. the shown reality that 'different people did something worse' isn't considered an affirmative protection - meaning it does not justify in spite of you've been doing. To make a lengthy tale short - it type of appears like you're making an investment an magnificent volume of hassle over something that you do not even understand occurred yet. you ought to relax and wait to confirm in case you get a citation contained in the mail. in case you DO get one, you may continuously come the following to ask particular questions about that citation - yet again, i will't imagine any lifelike situation the position a hardship-free velocity violation will jeopardize your driving privelege once you have not any factors to commence with.

most likely they was on something else at the time no you havent been caught speeding, if they had wanted to pull you over they couldve but then they would have had to prove you was speeding before you stopped if theyve no proof its not something they relish doing because it can end up a long drawn out procedure, same thing is if you have no belt on wen you see a police car you slip your belt on wen they pull you over you have it on they now have to prove you didnt have it on earlier its impossible, only time they can get you for speeding is if they have a camera set up either a road one or a hand one then and only then can they prove wat you were doing (they would not have had one set up in a moving car as it gives a false eading they would have to be stationary) also if you have been caught on camera its upto 21 days later you will get the ticket through your door with a fine and a loss of 3 points on your licence

You seem too uptight by this. They would have pulled you over. Besides, at this point there is nothing you can do. They should pull you over, tell you why (not ask you), tell you how fast you were going (not ask you), tell you how fast you SHOULD have been going, and requested your license and registration. They didn't. You're fine. 10 mph is nothing to stress about! You're not getting a ticket. Sometimes they are nice enough to just warn you with their presence ... aparently it worked. Do you speed on that street anymore? Probably not without making sure it's empty first.

Police will STOP you and give you tickets. They don't use their in car cameras on speeders. Reason is...all the new police cars have computers and in order for you to get a ticket these days, they pull you over, get your info, type it in and the computer prints your ticket, complete with fine and all data needed to pay it. You don't even have to sign for one anymore...so the police car that over took you was probably on a call....

Police do not have the ability to do that or you would have been pulled over. Your ok they just wanted to let you know they was there. When an officer pulls you over you can request to see their radar to show proof of your speeding. They must show you this or it can be dropped in court.
