It depends on the texture of your hair. If your hair is fine and
fly away get a perm, or wash your hair, towel dry apply mousse (I like Tre Semme) dry hair with blow dryer and use a curling iron to create the look you desire. If your hair is normal medium the above methods will work but if you try you may be able to get out of the shower towel dry apply mouse turn head upside down scrunch hair in hands for 10 min or till kinda dry flip up and adjust. Hairspray is yucky stuff. Only once in a while very cautiously applied. Clogs pores. Courser hair lends itself to this method. Then it's all about controlling the frizz.
Biosilk Silk Therapy sparingly applied as not to appear greasy. Smells so good.

Hope it helps

There's this curling iron with 3 barrels on it. It's like 3 curling irons stuck together and anyways it's makes really pretty waves in your hair. I get lots of compliments when I use it.

Apply a volumizing tonic to your roots. Then blow dry your hair till it's slightly damp. Scrunch hair with your fingers. Spray in a saltwater spray. Then let hair air dry(keep scrunching until it's tottaly dry) This should give you very pretty waves.
