can't download Photoshop for free. the full version is hundreds of dollars so a free download would barely have any features. i say borrow it from a friend and install it because once you install Photoshop on your computer, you don't need the disk to use it anymore. at least that's the way it is with Photoshop 7.0, which is second-newest. after CS.

Photoshop isn't free, any version. In fact, it is several hundred dollars a copy, any version.
The Gimp (Graphic Image Manipulation Program) is just as powerful, and is free. Some argue it is more powerful...

It came from UNIX, origianlly, and has evolved to include Windows, Linux, Mac, and UNIX versions.
