The old fashion paper way ? on the first page of the 1040,
Via one of the Free Files ? They have it as part of the income questions, you just fill in the blanks .

You should receive a 1099 for the pension distribution for 2006. Give it to your tax preparer or complete that part of any tax preparation software you use. If you prepare your own taxes without software you should get a copy of Publication 17 and read the section on the taxability of pensions. Good luck.
