I am going thru a similar situation but,I can't retaliate. In my anger I always visualize ( even though I can't actually do that) stripping that nasty fellow in front of others and kicking him on the Butt.(LOL!)

Has any of you ever gone thru the similar frame of mind and visualized something similar to this?

Not only have I been bullied, humiliated and unfairly treated by my boss or "someone powerful".....
for some reason, I allow my hairdresser to give me a bad haircut and I say: " thankyou - it looks lovely - here's a tip"
I think it's our timid disposition - some people "know" that we won't retaliate so they mentally bash our brains out
You will notice that the "boss" or whomever never treats the "office bully" the way they treat us.
One day, take a deep breath and calmy say: I would prefer if you didnt speak to me that way
Let's face it.. maybe "they" don't know they are upsetting us?
And yes, I have visualized revenge - and it's not a pretty sight!
Advice given to me once: Speak up, or shut up
Good Luck :-)

Well I havent visualized anything like that... but I did get humiliated and tortured by a former boss one summer when I was working at this resort actually it was like 4 different managers I had never been so pissed in my life!

I have, but not tortured.

This means that you are being used as a whipping post. Somebody to take their frustration out on.
Your boss probably has some nasty problems and he is taking them out on you. You shouldn't let them effect you. You are acting just like your boss when you do that and that is not what you want to do. Is it?

I cussed my boss out, threw my uniform on the ground and walked out. The boss picked me up in his car. Told me some BS story about the manager. It turns out that his company was losing a lot of money. Eventually, his business went out of business, so he had to find a job. He ended up having a heart attack and dying.

I guess, just understand that your boss is under a lot of stress and you should just understand that and not be to worried or upset by it. It is their problem, not yours.

i use to clean apartments for a complex. my boss was a witch to say the least, always yelling at me to get my job down faster, but at the same time sending me to the store for HER CIGARETTES on my work time. i was doing her personal crap on my time, and then would get chewed out for my work taking longer. finally 1 day i couldn't take it anymore and went in left my things and gave back the key and walked right out. was the best thing i could have done for myself. its not good when all you do on your weekend off is think about having to go back in monday and how crappy its going to be and make you feel. if you have the option to leave do it! you will feel great! good luck!
