I think they'll be fixed one by one, with the first breakthrough occuring in the next five to ten years.

right now, researchers cant even perform most tests on humans. And dont have easy access to the thing that provides the best chance at finding a cure (embryonic stem cells). Dont plan on it happening for a long time. And dont plan on it becoming mainstream and useful and relatively safe for a lifetime.
