A fatty liver can be caused by several things like alcohol, drugs, toxins, and bad diet.
You can get toxins from the air, water or food. Like pesticides, nitrates, heavy metals and more. That is why many people are switching to organic food and they use only bottled water or filtered water.
Alcohol consumption causes the liver to work hard as it is hard to break down. Too much alcohol too fast and the situation can be deadly. Over time though, the liver gets sick from working hard to pass the alcohol from your system. A livers job is to break down what you take into your body.
A bad diet rich in fast food, fats, and simple surgars strain the liver too. The liver can not function effectively.
Symptoms:
weight gain (especially in stomach)
tired, lethargic
lack of sexual desire
may have pain in stomach
loose stools, frequently
bloating, retaining fluids
bad looking skin and hair (yellowish or acne)
The best thing to do is FAST. Drinking cranberry juice helps too. There are also products out there to help fatty liver. You need supplements and herb formulas. The best person who is a great authority on this is Louise Ann Gettleman and she has several books out. I just ordered a system through Dr Natura on the net. I have not tied it yet but put his name in seach. Read what he says about it, quite interesting.
Keep in mind you may not die of fatty liver but your system will not work properly and diseases can develope. Better to correct it.

yes , I find the information on the net fatty liver or steatosis, is a broad term that describes the buildup of fats in the liver. Having fat in your liver is normal, but if more than five to 10 percent is fat, then it is called fatty liver disease.
Fatty liver is a reversible condition and usually goes away on its own. Fatty liver often has no symptoms and does not cause any permanent damage.
There are typically no symptoms of fatty liver. Some people experience fatigue or vague abdominal discomfort. The liver may become slightly enlarged—which your doctor will notice with a thorough physical exam.
If the liver has become inflamed, there may be other symptoms, such as poor appetite, weight loss, and feeling extremely weak, sick, or tired.

Fatty liver disease affects a whopping 30% of the population. That's 30 out of every 100 people! And some estimates have it at 33%.
And if you're overweight, it's even worse overweight people are extremely more likely than healthy weight individuals to develop this condition.
In other words, you're not alone. Not by a long shot.
Other fatty liver sufferers have reversed their condition, lost weight, and rediscovered their energy, using completely natural remedies. And that means you can, too!

I have. You might have some mild abdominal discomfort, but for the most part there are no major symptoms in the early stage. Fortunately, it may be reversible, depending on what the cause is. It can be alcohol or food related. Google it for more specific information. Your doctor can give you a prognosis after you have a scan. Hopefully, you will just have to cut back on the fatty foods or alcohol. Good Luck.

i believe it can be familial, but most of the time fatty liver is just caused by an acute circumstance. a big binge drinking episode can lead to fatty liver, but it resolves in a day or two. in most cases fatty liver does resolve, however, if you continue to abuse alcohol it can turn into worse things which can lead to cirrhosis.
