I would talk to a doctor...
or maybe a close friend...
try doing something real positive for yourself...
get a hair cut...
go for a walk...
just do something for yourself...
splurge and dont feel guilty about it...
i feel like that all the time... and usually there is a reason...
maybe something someone said to me...
sometimes the weather makes me feel that way...
there are countless reasons why you fell this way and if you are overly concerened about this feeling... please go see a doctor
hope you get to feeling better..

Your body is crying. Is that what it feels like? You feel sad and depressed and you don't understand why - and it is not just mere sadness, it is also hopelessness.
You may have chemical depression. This is different from reactive depression, where you have been given a reason out of a difficult situation that you have been or currently dealing with.
Chemical depression is a condition brought on by lack of seratonin in your brain. Seratonin, simply is a chemical that stimulates the 'positive' flow of the brain. This is what makes people wake up in the morning being able to look at life in a little more positive sense. Chemical depression is hereditary; you may or may not be aware some of your family members - uncles, aunts, grandparents, parents - who may have suffered from this.
This is where anti-depressants come in. Imagine anti-depressants on the same level as insolin for diabetics. A diabetic has to take insulin on a daily basis to get his or her sugar level on balance. Anti depressants work the same way as insulin where you have to take it on a daily basis to keep your level of seratonin balanced.
It is not a disease. It is a chemical imbalance.
You should see your doctor. Your doctor, based on the symptoms of your depression, can tell you if your depression is chemical or reactive. From the sound of it, it is chemical.
I was (still is) just like you. Started feeling extremely sad and would cry for no reason. Only anti-depressants lifted my spirits up.
It's only your body crying. Give it help.
Please go to your doctor. I know it may be difficult, but it is more difficult dealing with something that may be beyond your own control. It can be within your control if you get help.

I know what you mean. I felt the same way for a while. I didn't want to talk to anyone about it, but I didn't want to keep it to myself. After a while the bad feelings started, slowly, to go away, then one day, I woke up and I was actually happy, for the first time in about a year. Now i'm actually a really happy person. One thing that helps it being active. When you're active, your body relases a hormone that makes you feel happy. I know from experience that over thinking things can make them 10 times worse, just keep bussy and don't give your self time to over think things. Over all, it just takes time. Just try to convince yourself that you can be happy, because you can.

You should get some exercise -- it really helps. Try to take an outdoor walk everyday for about 30 mins. Also, watch some funny movies or tv shows. In addition, hang out with friends and make some new friends as well.

Give your MD a call, and make an appointment for a diagnosis. Sometimes the MD will give you medication; sometimes he or she will refer you to therapy or a psychiatrist. You can visit the following site and take tests, read, order a newletter, etc. about depression:
http://www.about.com
Type "depression" in their search box in the upper right hand corner. When you get there, you will see all the things you can read and do. They do give causes, cures, etc.--but remind you that you still need to see a health pro.
