I was a Christian, and am now an atheist, and I don't speak darkly. I simply repeat that I don't appreciate being told that I deserve to burn in Hell for all eternity because I don't believe the same thing you do. I don't appreciate seeing people outside of AIDS patients funerals holding signs saying "God Hates F*gs!" Talk about dark! I just try to live my life. I love my husband, I love my children, I love my friends. I do volunteer work, and I give to charity. I try to be a good person every day. And I do so...not because I'm afraid that I will be punished in some afterlife...but because I WANT to be a good person. MOST atheists I know are the same way. Just people trying to live their lives.

Funny, I'm an EX-Christian, but not an Atheist... Yes I can be blasphemous at times but I can assure you it's not that some "evil spirit" is driving me to say those things. I do so of my own accord. You could say being a Christian for over 20 years left a bad taste in my mouth for any from of monotheism, not to mention some very bad experiences I've had with Muslims in my life.

Ever notice how small minded Xians like to blame everything on Satan? No one has to take any responsibility for what they do because Satan guided them to it? They were just puppets in his will. Do they ever realize in a lucid moment how ridiculous the whole idea is? And how cowardly it is not to own up to their responsibilities?
An atheist cannot blaspheme. Blaspheming implies that they're speaking against "god". An atheist doesn't believe in your sky fairy. At all. It's not that they're "in league with Satan", you silly Xian. Because they don't believe in him either. The whole idea is very amusing.

Maybe these newly minted atheists are trying to pay back against possible abuse recently experienced as a christian?
One way to test this hypothesis is to see if newly minted christians are as vehement (or more vehement than older more experienced christians) in their disapprobation of atheists.

Yeah, it’s almost like a dam wall that has been building up with pressure is suddenly released. In this case the dam wall is a person’s fear, the pressure building up is logic and when the wall breaks it’s the fear being overcome! And the river can flow freely like it was meant to.

It is just retaliation and it is fun.
I like to be blasphemous just to see the reaction. Christians think you really still believe in some corner of your mind, and it is fun to see them squirm when you show them that you really are not afraid at all.

I am agnostic, I never seek out to hurt any ones beliefs. I respect what everyone believes in, it is their right. However, when attacked I will defend myself.

Maybe you should be directing this question to them, rather then to your fellow theists.
Ofcourse the answer you really want is, "They are tools of satan".

Your brain either has low inventory or perhaps you should grow yourself one. You lack intelligence like all atheists. You live your lives effortless and brainless.
