You're feeding him junk food aren't you? Be honest.... He needs a better quality of dog food - not the cheapest. Buy him quality food or endure it. Man, if your neighbour gave him back in less than a day you have 3 dilemmas. 1. - Your dog has poor nutrition, 2. - Your neighbour is smarter than you, & 3. - You're a lousy pet owner!! How would you feel if your mother always yelled at you and then tried getting rid of you when you passed smelly farts?! You shouldn't be allowed to own a pet guy! Dogs depend on YOU to take good care of them. Man I hope you don't have or will have children......if you can't handle the little things in life then you certainly can't handle the bigger things. You need some tough love so here you go! Have a nice day~~~

It is the food you are feeding the dog. Are you feeding canned or dry? If canned stop feeding it. If dry try a better brand dog food that has less fat in it. Do not feed table scraps, this makes doggie toots horrible. Yelling at him will not work. Could you stop farting if you were yelled at ? Think about it.

And you thought yelling at him would solve the problem by ?????? Not sure that I follow the logic on that one. Poor dog. Has no clue why you are yelling at him. He just wonders what he did to end up with this mean human. Try a different dog food. Maybe the one you are giving him upsets his stomach.

My boxer used to have really bad gas. So bad, he would snif it, get up, look at us and go lay down some place else!!! we did change his food, gave him the stuff "beano" for dogs, but nothing helped. he was just a gassey dog!!! It was really bad when we had friends over. they never believed the "dog" could that! they thought it was funny. We would yell (not really at him) just "Oh my gosh not again"! and he would get up and leave, but look at us like we were the ones that farted! Funny dog!
My boxer died, he had tumors, and the vet couldn't save him. We all miss him a lot.

Yea a food that causes less gas. LOL I don't know how yelling accomplishes that. LOL Why not try and clean out his system wit some chicken and rice for a while, and then switch to a higher quality food?

Stick a long foreign object up the dog's butt, that should cause some serious health problems but then his farts won't stink, which answers your question.

How was yelling at him going to make his farts less smelly?!?!?!
Try a different food. Give him no greasy food, and if it's still a problem consult your vet.

My dog has bed gas as well. He's on the best quality food I can get him. Never yell at him. That's just messed up. He can't control it anymore than he can control his shedding.
Also, do ask your Vet there can be solutions other than abandonment.

Wow! I'd take him to the vet. If you've changed his diet recently it can cause gas. Feeding him table scraps can do it too. Dog's need a consistent diet.
