I am afraid Islam is completely misunderstood by people it is the most peaceful religion of the world although political parties all around have taken undue advantage of the religion naming misdeeds & cheap thrills a religious act. Yes Islam doesn't allow female to wear nail paint the scientific reason behind this is that it damages the upper layer of the nails. I strongly disagree that Islam doesn't allow female to get educated, well she is free to be litterate. Yes undue advantage has been taken in name of Sharia. From my perspective, no religions could claim their practitioners will be peaceful to one another. Not Islam and neither is Christianity, much less Buddhism, Hinduism and Taoism, etc. This is because of human depravity or inclination to do evils or each becoming powerful would want to continue to remain in power even by eliminating others. Christianity teaches love for everyone including his enemies yet fail to maintain the peace, how would other religions succeed where Christianity fails. Wait for the establishment of Antichrist's kingdom and Jesus' kingdom after the defeat of the Antichrist. See. No peace until end times but belonging to two periods.

The MSM (main stream media) often represents Islam as peaceful, but with a small minority of extremist terrorists. I'd certainly like to see a significant majority of mainstream Islam teachers strongly condemn violence. The absence of that makes me infer that it is a religion inclined to violence. Some (many?) Moslem nations have swords in their flags, indicating conversion by the sword. Violent Christians are going against the teachings of their founder (although Christians are ok with self defense and the goverment resisting enemies). Jesus, Paul, James, and Peter (among others) specifically taught that our good behavior should influence people to consider looking into what Christians believe. We are instructed to be good ambassadors for Jesus, which is a huge challenge. The Christian God will preside over Judgment Day and expects obedience from created humans. However, He is also merciful, forgiving, and gracious ....and salvation is a gift. My impression is that the Moslem Allah expects "works" to earn your way to heaven. This can lead to extreme behavior to "please" Allah.

Islam a religion like anyother, they believe that Jesus was a prophet.

But therein lies the answer, they actually BELIEVE that Islam is the one true religion and every non-Muslim will be damned to hell. They actually believe that everything the Qur'an, the Shariah, the Sunnah and the Hadith is true and moral.

This is unlike Christians who don't really BELIEVE everything they say the believe. If they did, they go around mass murdering everyone who 'works' on Sundays. By working, you cannot drive a car, do groceries, or anything. Furthermore, they would be killing anyone who cussed, or wearing a shirt made out of two different types of material (such as a cotton polyester blend) and they would never eat shellfish, such as clams and oysters.

Well first of all to start with stoning to death is prescribed in Jewish scripture Torah and NOT Quran. Punishment for fornication is 100 lashes. I feel those Muslim countries that are following stoning to death are wrong because it does not say to do that anywhere in Quran.

Taliban and Saudi Arabias treatment of women does NOT represent Islam at all. They create absurd laws such as women can't drive or whatever which has no place in Islam. Quran gives equal rights to women.

Islam is surely peaceful, but not all Muslims are following it properly.

The media is the worst source you can possibly learn from in the subject of Islam.
