My boyfriend of three years is nearly 34. We've talked about marriage, but I want kids and he does not. However before he met me he never thought he wanted to get married either. I'm only 25 so I'm not worried about time. Is it possible that he could change his mind? What do you think?
Have any of you been in a similar position, and what happened for you?

he will change his mind, trust me. The only way i think he wouldn't is if he was worried about something hereditary, so your best shot here is asking him the reason as for not wanting kids.

I've been in a similar situation. My husband never really wanted children or should I say felt a strong need to have children. We now have 2 kids but he isn't an involved father whatsoever and seems quite content to do his own thing. My children don't have much of a father figure in their lives (it's an ongoing battle I deal with with my husband).
If he doesn't want kids then take what he is saying as the truth and don't hold on to trying to change him because in the end, you can't. He either feels a true desire to have children or he doesn't.

It depends on the kind of guy he is whether you can change his mind or not. Ask, but don't push. Don't be like me with coke. Well, what I mean is don't go running up to him yelling "Come on. Let's have a kid, come on. You know you want toooooo..." cause that only works when you're me and you want something like money from a friend. Heh, it happens. Anyhow, casually ask him...

One thing I've learned with men is that they are generally pretty honest about their feelings. If he says he doesn't want kids, than he doesn't. You might be able to get him to give in, but, in the end, he'll only resent you for coaxing him into doing something that he didn't want to do. You can't change a person, what you see is what you get.

I think it is possible. But what after you are married and he said I told you know kids, then what?

well my brother said he whould never get married or have kids and he is 27 and he is married and has a beautiful baby boy

Yeah, if you don't agree on children , you better set things straight before deciding to have them together because he will stick it in your face later on.
