I posted this question in the wrong forum sorry- so I am repeating it. I am hoping someone from P.R. might know- why does Miss US Virign Islands compete now but Miss Puerto Rico doesn't?

I'm sorry - I left out in the Miss America pageant- why doesn't she compete in the Miss America pageant? Silly me- sorry

Yes, we have a Miss Puerto Rico that competes in Miss Universe.She is elected every year, around December. Puertorricans have won 5 Miss Universe crowns(Marisol, Deborah, Dayanara, Dennise and Zuleyka) Right now Miss Universe is a puertorrican, Zuleika!!! . Miss Puerto Rico also competes in Miss World but this lady is not the same that competes in Miss Universe. We have won one Miss World crown. I do not know why but we do not compete in Miss America, maybe no one has bid in the franchise.

I don't know why we dont compete in Miss America but like everyone else up in here said, we do compete in Miss Universe and we are extremely proud of our beautiful people within our tiny island which lives all day and night long. They call NYC the city that never sleeps, well that's because a lot of Boricuas live in there, we party 24/7 WE HAVE MUSIC IN OUR BLOOD WE ARE THE ONLY ONES THAT DANCE EVERYTHING YET LOOK GREAT DOING IT TOO!!!!!!

Yeah, she does compete in Miss Universe so there's obviously a Miss PR. The contestants of the island have one of the best winning records in Miss Universe. I don't know exactly how many times we've won lol

Not 1 but FIVE times we have been elected miss universe. Actually the current Miss Universe is a Puerto Rican: Zuleyka Rivera. Remember us because she won't be the last!!!!!

Puerto Rico has her own beauty Queen. PR has nothing to do with the US Virgin Islands. PR has had 5 Miss. Universe. Right now Zuleyka Rivera is Miss Universe and she represented PR in the pageant. Thanks to Miss USA Zuleyka was asked to leave their apartment in Trump tower. (Zuleyka had nothing to do with Miss USA's drug, alcohol and sleeping around).
