No, aspirin does not lower your BP it is an antiplatelet. Which means that it decreases the formation of platelet plugs (Blood clots) Aspirin will not correct clots that are already formed but it will decrease the likely hood of new clot formation or growth of preexisting clots. Aspirin is a first line drug used in MI (death and necrosis of the heart muscle) and TIA (stroke) patients because it prevent feather blockage allowing the heart and brain to receive more blood which carries oxygen. Aspirin has no effect on your blood pressure and should not be taken if under 18 years of age. People with a history of heart problems and strokes are strongly recommended to take a small does of aspirin daily. Hope this helps.

Yes, is sure does. Amazing pill, that aspirin.
It lowers the blood pressure and also is the first thing to take if you think you are having a heart attack because it helps remove the clot.

This is an excellent question and I am very glad you asked. I think it will help a lot of people.

It thins the blood, which often has the effect of lowering blood pressure because the heart does not have to work as hard to pump it through your veins. It's not a cure-all for high blood pressure, though, by any means.
