I see so many people here get their panties in a twist over the silliest questions. A lot of those questions are just for fun to make people think and be able to give a silly creative answer to. I try to be funny and not take stuff too seriously. I mean what's the point of getting angry right now if you believe something and don't care what anyone else thinks? Why not laugh and make a funny answer back?

I totally agree. I think laughing together breaks down barriers.

This is such a good question.
Perhaps if more people had a sense of humour about "everything" the world would be a better place.
Is this achievable? Doubt it. Considering the total population of the world and the unfortunate fact that most people think "their" religion is "THE" religion.... things aren't going to change in our lifetimes.
I am guilty of getting upset at something that is inconsequential... it's strange that what upsets one person is funny to another... perhaps in a way, that's a good thing... if we all thought the same, might be a dull existence??
Not knowing who is asking a question and who is answering, words can be misinterpreted.... and then some folks just like to stir things up - I'll be interested to read all the other answers to your question - very interesting subject.

I think, to some extent, there is a point where if you laugh at a joke about your religion then its kind of like youre not defending God or something... I dont know, I cant explain it. Basically if someone made a really offensive joke about my religion, and I didnt say something, that would make me feel like a bad person. But obviously some jokes are funny. I have a big sense of humor, but you have to draw the line somewhere.

Agree 100%.
Answers is a place to have fun and not to make fight with other peoples. The religious (and sometimes non religious) world is full of hate, probably they need a little humor.

I agree 100%.

But some Christians feel they must "stand up for Jesus" when He doesn't really need people to do that every time someone challenges or mocks their beliefs.
