I have used this wormer and i was very happy with it. Make sure you give it the proper dose for the dogs weight and make sure it is given the full 3 days.
I normally am against otc wormers but i called my vet and asked before i used it and they said it is safe. This stuff really works and gets rid of all worms

It is pretty effective. Just make sure you follow the dosage instructions on the box. I've used this de-wormer on smaller dogs, but not big dogs because you need such a high dosage of the safe guard for large dogs that it is cheaper to buy Drontal from the vet.

Safe-guard is an excellent dewormer, kills all four kinds of worms, hooks, whips, rounds and tapes, and it's safe for both puppies and adult dogs, just make sure you give the right dosage, for three days in the row.

That's what I use as suggested by my vet for not only both of my Lab puppies (foster as well) and my adult dog. No problems and no worms either.

It probably will on take care of only one or two intestinal parasites that the puppy has. In order to ensure the proper deworming of the pup you need to have a fecal sample checked by a vet. Then your vet can sell you a dewormer for the correct intestinal parasites
