Human arrogance. Everything likes to assert their superiority over others - and religion's just one more vent.
Christians love to say to Jews, "You're ignorant if you follow Moses but don't recognise Jesus! Because I do, I am therefore spiritually superior.
And Muslims love to say to Christians, "You're ignorant if you follow Jesus but don't recognise Muhammed! Because I do, I am therefore also spiritually superior."
Then the Jews get offended, then the Christians, then the Muslims - until by the time they all realise they are still worshipping the same One God just in different ways it's already too late. The damage is done - it lingers as cultural prejudice and bias that gets passed down through generations. Like from the Crusades to the present...
We should focus on unity. Israel deserves a nation, but so does Palestine. Maybe we should listen to UN first for once?
It's all too complicated. But Satan works in everyone, it's part of being human.

Because religion has been, is and always will be used as an excuse and a tool for violence, control and manipulation.
I'm not saying that all religious people are violent an manipulative, but unfortunately religion can be used - even in todays world - by powerful people to control the masses.
I think we need to look at who stands to gain from keeping the middle eastern conflict alive to find the true reasons why Christians, Muslims and Jews are still at war.

Christians dont blame anything on the jews or the muslims. The crusades were 100's of years ago! Since then, the christians have not done anything bad to either group, and they certainly don't blame any other groups for their problems! Stop making generalizations! Not to mention, you had no information to back it up.

I am a christian, You should not group us all together in a blanket statement like that. I believe that the Jews are the chosen people of God. When I watch the news. And see all that is going on in the middle east. I tell my husband people better watch out when they attack Israel because they are God chosen people. All someone has to do is read the old testament it is all there.

This question seems very familiar ... I don't know very much about Muslims. I don't want to be barbaric or uncivilized. I wish we could have a dialog about our faiths without anger and hatred clogging the Internet.

I beg to differ...bigots blame Muslims,Jews etc. with what is wrong with the world. If a person professes to be a Christian and acts like a bigot then I would submit to you that he is not a true Christian. Christ never taught what you are suggesting.

I don't really care, considering i think all religion is stupid and it's just silly to fight for thousands of years over a piece of desert.
