In the movie "The Four Seasons", I remember them cooking some oriental food, and they used some noodle like stuff that expanded almost instantly when they put it in the pan. Can someone please tell me what it was?

the food was chinese noodles called shoki and you buy them in new york city at chinatown! also called "birthday noodles"

possibly rice noodles. i never saw the movie.

Rice noodles or rice vermicelli.
