I was thinking and wondering if bottled water would be safe lets say 10 years down the road to drink. As in lets say one day I have a lifes supply of water for me to drink in case of an emergency or drought.

its not the water that goes bad. The bottle is what breaks down and starts contaminating the water. I remember back in high school (3 yrs ago) there was a big debate about the school's bottled water because the plastic would start contaminating the water after 7 or 8 months. They ended up going to a bottle that lasted longer.

No it will not. I had some canned water some yrs ago put out by Anheiser Busch. I forget why I had it, but it had an expiration date on it. Was like couple yrs, but none the less. I opened it after the date and it smelled kinda musky. I din't taste it.
