Any antidepressant has always helped me. I started taking Zoloft and now take Cymbalta. Antidepressants take 2 weeks to start helping. After that, your mind should stop racing and you should be able to relax.
Another thing: most people with Tourette syndrome/ocd have ADD. Strattera is a new medicine for ADD that is non-habitforming and non-amphetamine. That might be something that helps. It has really worked good for my sister.

it is extra like a habit. OCD is an tension illness with intrusive techniques that produce unfavourable emotions. In different words: in case you have OCD, you would be questioning that some thing terrible is going to take place in case you do not p.c.. at your chop up ends, and those techniques could make you panic or rigidity out.

You can do some outside activities to take your mind off of things. Go on a routine or set a schedule on what to do everyday, like exercise, eat right, read, play sports, anything like that. Since i have a friend who has ocd, she'd normally go through a routine but after awhile she would love to take time to have fun with friends. I would also pray for her, to get better from her ocd. Please hang in there, and i'll pray for you too.^^

I was wondering if you knock on your teeth with your fingers? If so, is it because of the sound that is made when you tap your fingernails on your teeth? If so, I'd suggest cutting your nails extremely short so that when you tap, you can't hear the click noise and it may be a little painful in the beginning which could help force you to stop.

Haha my friends think I'm OCD cause I'm quirky like that. But I dont actually have it. Anyway, don't take antidepressants cause theyre pretty easy to get hooked on. The best thing to do would be just to try really hard to stop and get counseling or something.

I used to have OCD.... it went away the more present I became, attentive of this moment.
My theory is: OCD has to do with excessive thinking becoming acted out physically.
Thinking less, via stillness within, removes the physical thought patterns that OCD is.
Therefore, your solution is presence in this moment.
