Did the bumps just show up? Were you exposed to anything different or eat different food? Are they in clusters or evenly spread? Have you had chicken pox? Were you sitting in grass where you could have gotten insect bites?

Try a dose of benadryl in case it is an allergy. One dose won't hurt you if it that's not the problem. If it improves but doesn't go away, try another dose.

You could also try taking a warm bath in epson salt. It may soothe the itching ... or so my mom told me when I had hives, but it never helped as much as benadryl.

You can also put on some calomine lotion that soothes itching.

Honestly, I don't know which doctors are in their office tonight or will be there tomorrow, and I'd bet this does not merit a trip to the ER, so I hope these suggestions help. If it persists, check it out with your regular doctor.

See a doctor! Only a doctor can tell you 'what' is causing your 'itchy bumps' and he also should be able to recommend a medicine to help you 'get better' ... but you could be simply 'allergic' to the 'new' detergent you tried out right before you got those bumps ... or to something new you ate ... so don't think you have a 'dangerous disease' ... because it is probably a 'simple allergy' reaction to something.

The obvious answer would be to seek medical attention by way of your family doctor or some other general practioner.

And since they don't board certify internet physicians I wouldn't take any home made diagnosis or old-fashioned "heal everything" remedies from anyone in a yahoo question and answer forum

There is no definite way for anyone who can't see the rash, and who isn't licensed to practice medicine to truly help you. Even is someone did correctly diagnose you with a bad case of something you'll probably have to go to the doctor to get medication.

GO TO THE DOCTOR--PLEASE!!!!

Sounds like an alergic reaction to something your ate, or cam in contact with. Antihistamines such as Benedryl will help as will taking a tub soak with baking soda in the water. If it doesn't go away in a day or two call your doctor, or if you start feeling tightness in your throat then get immediate medical help

sounds like eczema. maybe try some hydrocortisone cream or Eucerin cream in the jar. If that doesnt work maybe check your diet, eating lots of sugar or consuming sugary snacks or things high in fat and sometimes seasonings with MSG can cause breakouts. Better yet, speak with your doctor

put anti-itch cream on them for now... then call your doctor.

if it's still bad, take a bad with aveeno.

the doctor will tell you what it is.

it could be hives from an allergic reaction, a rash from detergent, poisen ivy/oak, shingles, chicken-pox, or a reaction to something you put on your skin.

That happened to me one time, and the doc. said it was stress. Do you have a lot of stress in your life right now? I used benadryl. It took about 8 days, but they went away!!

If you take long, hot baths/showers, that might be the cause. They dry out your skin especially this time of year. It is called winter itch. Try short lukewarm baths.
