I think he WAS very good at magic tricks..after all, he managed to convince thousands of people that he was the son of God.
-And you are correct it was easier to fool people back then. When Jesus was performing his "miracles", there were literally HUNDREDS of other people going around performing the same "miracles".

I agree with you that we can't know for certain the Jesus didn't just do magic tricks, and that it is more likely that he did than that he actually walked on water. One explanation that was put forth a couple of hundred years ago, for the walking on water thing, was that the disciples misunderstood a miracle for a natural occurrence. The walking on water incident took place at night, during a storm, and all the gospel accounts mention that the wind was blowing very fiercely, so hard that the disciples were struggling at the oars. So one explanation of this could be that while the disciples thought they were out in the middle of the lake, they were confused by the dark and the storm and were mistaken, because they were really pretty close to the coast. The disciples, thinking they were out in the middle of the lake, saw Jesus "walking on the water" and believed that Jesus was a ghost, when all he did was wade through the water to reach them.
But I think that both the supernatural and the natural explanations are naive, because they see the event as a literal historical event. I think it's more likely that the early Gospel writers were trying to reveal a moral truth about Jesus through the use of this story. Early Christian writers often likened the trials and tribulations of this life to a stormy, tempestuous sea. And who can rise above these dangers and walk upright on the stormy sea? Well, Jesus can. And the point of the story is to not to relate journalistically some event that the disciples saw or thought they saw. It's to emphasize that Jesus can help his followers overcome the obstacles of this life. Though I am not a Christian, I think this interpretation makes a lot more sense, and the miracle of Jesus walking on the water becomes not just a neat show of supernatural power, but a moral message that's relevant to every Christian alive today.

There were people who did say things like that about
Jesus when he walked this earth.
There were in fact people who claimed that a blind man
healed by Jesus had never been blind. new testament,
John 9.
The accusations made against Jesus in those days are
the same now today. If someone is doing a sleight
of hand trick, they do it with the intent to deceive. They
accused him of it then, and now.
As to education, that only means that a person's head
has been filled with a lot of information-by someone
else. Some one else mind you who got that info
out of a book.
Educated people often believe that they can testify to what happened 2000 years ago in spite of the fact
that they weren't there at the time. I know that I wasn't.
It's not like paper lasts 2000 years.

Let's see, He healed the lame, deaf, dumb, raised people from the dead, walked on water, stopped a stormy sea, made water into wine, aka grape juice, and oh yeah, He died on a cross for you and me for our salvation and then not only was dead for 3 days, but rose from the dead. Yep, great magic trick.

Uh, yeah. That explains how he died on a cross in front of hundreds of spectators, had the blood drained out of his body by Roman police, buried in a large tomb which was guarded by Roman police, and still managed to stay alive, slip past the guards, fake the scars in his hands, and then pretend to fly into heaven.

i doubt something HE did grew to become into definitely Magic by todays definitions. in basic terms skeptis and atheists could say some thing like that. its a shame that folk can not a minimum of end there grew to become right into a miles better technological know-how that regarded like magic relative posession and demon posession, its not psychological ailment that stated, the precise 3 miracles he did have been: strolling on water, only positioned levitation turning water to wine, ONE prophet defined it as actually changing hte molecules so as that water did exchange into wine, yet i will see how some thing like a kool-help couldve controlled the super style of wine yet couldit reproduce the rather alchoholic content.? consistent with probability not. elevating lazerus from the ineffective. the people who have been there who complained against jesus for not arriving in time might desire to have stated some thing in the event that they considered Lazerous grew to become into not ineffective first of all. wen they complained his physique grew to become into stinking for 3 or 4 days. even nevertheless there is a few thing called feigning death and others stated it grew to become right into a ritual that feigned death in basic terms for doing the time interior the grave i think of its extra sensible to commence with faith and proving faith quite than commencing out with disbelief and starting to be unblievers by searching for issues that make all the bible not genuine, while its lots extra sensible to instruct GOD by obedience and submitting to righteousness one step at a time. one step at a time human beings DO come to the actuality and comprehend the information of God has been everywhere in the everywhere

We don’t know anything about him or about the people who wrote about him 70 years after his death. Despite the fact that he was only around for less than 3 years... most of us don’t need to theorise about how he did his miracles, we simply do not believe in god, the rest is much easier to ignore then.
