No! This could kill the kittens and seriously injure the mother cat. You don't give animals human medication!

I have a pregnant cat too and she has a cold. The others are right, aspiring is poison to cats. Only a veterinarian should prescribe medication. I asked my vet about the meds they use and antibiotics are actually expired baby antibiotics, but even if you know someone who may have this, antibiotics can cause severe diarrhea in some cats. I am just keeping her inside in a warm box and making sure she has enough food and fresh water. also look at her eyes. If you see the second eye lid, which is a white color on the side of her eyes, then you should take her to the vet. If you are not sure and have a lot of courage or your queen has no claws, you can check her temperature using a rectal thermometer. Good luck and let me know how she does.

Asprin and many other medcations are toxic to cats...don't give here anything unless reccommended by a vet, especially if she is pregnant! If the vet does give her something, it will probably be an antibiotic as it sounds like th cat may have an upper respiratory infection as cats do not get "colds" like humans do. A one time dose of something is NOT going to make your cat better.

Actually 70 %of vet meds are human meds but still do not do it with out a vets supervision. Certain drugs are toxic to cats and even those that are not can be detrimental to the kittens. If your kitty has a cold antibiotics will not work on viruses anyway. Has your kitty been tested for FIV this has simular symptoms to colds and is passed on by direct contact between cats and from mom to kits. If she has had a positive test then it is more than a good chance the kits have it. It is not treatable and the kits CANNOT got to a home with other neg. tested cats. It is highly contagious and lethal. That would be my best advice is to get her tested. THere are vacines but positive cats are too late....good luck and please have here tested for the kits sake if you are not sure!!

As she is pregnant, please be careful what you give her.
You could try some echinacea - two drops of liquid echinacea in some wet food at night. Also if you have a vapouriser have it going to help her breathing. If she is snuffly put some vicks vapour rub under her chin.
If you have an oil burner, get some thyme oil and burn that. It is a natural disinfectant.
You could take her to the vet for antibiotics, if it flu she may need them, but so long as she isn't mouth breathing, it is better she gets over it herself.

I give my cat baby amoxicillin with an eyedropper. it is 250 mg strength.(THIS IS WHAT THE VET GIVES ME FOR HIM WHEN HE GETS UPPER RESPIRATORY CONDITION) 2 dropper full twice a day. Need script unless you know someone with a kid who may have a little they can spare. It's pink and flavored like cherries or strawberries I think. My cat likes it. DO NOT GIVE ASPIRIN
You can run a vaporizer in the room to help too.

You NEVER give people medicine to an animal unless directed by a veterinarian. Their insides are not the same as ours. If you're worried about your cat and her babies, you need to take her to the vet.
Human medicine may equal poison.

Anyhow, YES, you CAN give a cat dymatap. Obviously, if she's pregnant, she's a little older than six weeks, so a teaspoon is fine. Just make sure you give her lots of water and gatorade to go with it. FYI- You can give a cat any type of human medication (but only if it doesn't have asprin or any derivitive in it) in smaller doses.

Of course not. If she has an upper respiratory infection she needs to see a vet.
