I'm used to dating skinny cheerleader chicks but now I am into the more "thick" girls. Not fat or anything but with just enough meat. I wonder why. What do you think?

No you are not weird! For what ever reason you are attracted to a certain body type. Other people like skinny bodies, and the difference goes on and on. Do not concern yourself with what your friends say or think. If you are happy all is OK.
