i was diagonosed with graves disease 8 months ago. within 7 days of being diagnosed, i was undergoing radiation. My TSH levels at this time were 0.1. After radiation, they went to 23 and i then started on synthroid 88mcg. My family dr. screwed up and gave me a refill of 125mcg. Being a nurse myself, i should have known better, but i started taking the 125mcg like an idiot. Well, I then started having signs of hyperthyroidism again. My labs now are <0.1 which is worse then before my radiation. Well, now my eyes are feeling like they are so sore i can hardly touch them, I am so dizzy i can hardly stand at times, in fact fell yesterday, the right side of my face is slightly numb but comes and goes. I feel nervous and heart feels like, well, i guess you could explain it as that i can feel each heart beat. tacky feeling at times. I am relying on answers to help me decide if i want to sit in the ER all night. I have to work tomorrow at 5:45 am and i have to go. So, anyone had this problem?

YES YES YES I have had Graves Disease and just changed Dr. because he wouldn't listen, for now I would stop your synthroid for a few days. The heart beats are not a problem (they tell me) but I really know how uncomfortable you are. I have had radiation 3 times and tend to see saw. I am not a Dr but I would have waited awhile before putting you on meds and then started you at . 50 . Continuing the medicine now is only going to make things worse. Hope you start feeling better
