I have read somewhere that RO doesn't filter out chlorine that well. Is that true? Does a carbon filter cleans out chlorine well?

I wouldn't see why it wouldn't... I have a simple water purifier that boils the water, as in a Kenmore brand. There is no chlorine taste or smell with the purified water. So RO filtration would seem even more advanced than my simple purifier..Hope this helps..

RO and chlorine do not mix. The chlorine will destroy the RO membrane. Chlorine is an oxidizer and it will "burn" the membrane the same as high levels of chlorine will burn your skin. Most people have a carbon filter before the RO to remove the chlorine. The carbon filter destroys the chlorine so that it will not affect the RO membrane.
