I own a classic 1970 Volvo 144s. It is a four door with all original interior (with exception of stereo). Still own original stereo however. What is a car like that worth? Excellent cond. Kept in garage.

Its not worth getting rid of, if you have a good car and want a new one, weigh the cost of the new one to the old one. you will find its not worth changing. The Volvo in good condition will prob. bring 2200.00 if your lucky, and I'm a Volvo fan from way back. Good Luck, but if i had it i wouldn't let it go.

Your 144 is worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If it's in pristine condition, relatively low mileage and running well, then it might fetch a couple of thousand dollars from a Volvo-oriented person who wants a nice 144. My brand new '70 144 had the wheels driven off it and I gave it to my brother in 1985. He drove it on his service route throughout NY and New England, then donated it to some organization that kept it until it finally disintegrated. Great car! Keep yours forever because the new ones are not nearly as reliable. Ask me how I know.
