My kittens usually sleep on me when i go to bed and they are very cuddly at night time. In general, are kittens more or less cuddly than cats? Do they usually grow out of the cuddly, sleeping on laps thing or do they get more cuddly as they grow up and mellow out? I really hope that my kittens won't grow out of being cuddly...

Cats, and kittens, are much more social creatures than we give them credit for.

One way to keep your kitten more "kitten like" is to have them spayed or neutered before they turn 10 weeks old. I'm not sure on the science on this, but vets readily agree on this.

As your kittens grows, like all animals, they'll reach varying degrees of independence. It's just part of nature. Some of the contact will be less and they will "strike out" on their own. Yet they most likely will still return to the bed at night; seek you out for comfort and touch; and keep a playful disposition -- after all, it sounds like they have a happy home.

The loss of some of the kitten "aspects" will have an offset. Like the evening you go up to the fridge to get a beer, look around because you feel like you're being watched, close the fridge, look around again cause it still feels creepy, then realize your cats on top of the fridge staring at you.

Enjoy your time with them as kittens and look forward to the onset of cat. -- Andy

you seem to have a great relationship with your kittens, they obviously feels very safe and secure with you which is great, Kittens are all individual and have their own personalities, some are independent, some not, Yours seems to trust you, are safe and obviously have a lot of your attention, If you have this sort of relationship it should continue, When the kittens gets a little older they will mature and go off during the day but will come back and will enjoy the cuddles and attention that they are used to., So yes kittens are very cuddly now and this will continue into adulthood, I had a kitten who loved to sit like a scarf around my neck, as he got older he was out more as adult cats do, but he would always come in and sit on my lap for a stroke and would still wrap himself around my neck, I am sure as the kittens have got used to human company and cuddles so they will be like that as adults

I think it depends on the cat. I think if they are cuddly as kittens they will still be cuddly as adults. My cat is about 9 months old and it loves to snuggle and loves to be petted.

Some cats remain cuddly all their lives. I've known some cats who were extremely affectionate, if not downright needy. I love cats and what's nicer than a cat snuggling up to you in bed purring you to sleep.

My kitty is only cuddly when she is sleepy. If I want to cuddle with her, she play bites my hands. (yes they are all marked up, my friends are horrified that I let my cat "do this to me") She bites my cheek as I am going to sleep. She walks on the keyboard as I am typing, like now, so excuse the mistakes. She goes tap tap tap on my face at night when I cover my face up with the sheets. But when she is cuddly, it is sooo worth it and I can't lock her out of my room at night. I LOVE HER!

Kittens are developing their personalities as they grow. If they are snuggling in to you at night time, odds are that they will continue to want to sleep on your bed and/or your lap - unless something happens to change their minds/behavior.

Cats like to cuddle a lot, but I know that my cat stopped that when he was really old (and I mean really old, probably as old as a cat can get). Fortunately, that takes a while so you get like 7 or 8 years of cuddling and being cute to go.

Yes! Kittens love to cuddle and be cuddled. It makes them feel like they're with their birth mother, and makes them feel secure. Cuddle them when they cuddle you and your bond between eachother will grow stronger!
