Little pain a day or two after the procedure, no big thing.

It depends on whether or not they're through the gums, or need to be cut out. Stitches in your mouth are never fun, but it's not as horrible as you might think. I think you've taken enough time off, but that first day after having anesthesia can be rough for SOME people. Some people become nauseus from the anesthesia. Really though...your mouth won't hurt that much. You'll have some bruising but the biggest thing to remember, is to LISTEN to the instructions about dry socket. Don't use a straw or smoke or anything that requires suction. If you get dry socket, THATS when it hurts. Good luck!

The younger you are the easier it is to heal. I got all four of mine pulled when I was 12. I am now 27. If I can remember it took me 5-7 days to before I could eat anything with texture. It took a few days for the swelling to go down, however the pain lasted for several days. They gave me pain medications and knock me out during the procedure. I would imagine they would do the same for you.

OH yeah..my daughter had it done a few months ago.. The next day she was up listening to music and was able to talk on the phone and
go out 2 days later. So 4 days is definitely long enough..just make sure you rest and let it heal the first 24 hours at least

Assuming you are getting them pulled on Thursday it should be...Dont sleep flat sleep propped up to help with swelling and clotting. Use ice of some form (frozen bag of peas ext..) to help with swelling also. When you rinse you mouth do not spit just open your mouth and let it fall out so that you do not wash the clot out of the socket YOU DO NOT WANT A DRY SOCKET!!!!! No smoking or sucking thru staws either. Those are just some of my tips (an ex dental assiatant). Good Luck

I got lucky. Mine were pulled 10 years ago when I was 37 and only hurt that day. But I have a high threshold of pain, so that's most likely why I suffered little discomfort.

right after the procedure you may not think a week would be enough time. But you should recover quickly. I had three done in one sitting and it was rough until the next day.

its not the pain that will keep you home it is the swelling that may, when i had mine out i looked awlful, like a chipmunk, i thank god didnt work at the time but if i did i would have called out until the swelling went down at least, use ice as soon as you get home on your cheeks maybe you wont swell as bad as i did good luck
