How would you define a cougar? Is it a derogatory term for an older woman (whatever that is) dating a younger man. Why is it that it seems ok for an older man to go out with a younger woman, but not the other way around! I've heard that once a woman reaches 50, she's invisible in society

I think that it's an older woman who exclusively dates younger men for the thrill of it. One who has the bucks to burn and supports him with it. I'm an older woman (46) who has dated men as young as 30 but don't consider myself a cougar as their age was incidental. I'm also not dominant in the relationship but more submissive and for some reason that sticks out in my mind. So, I don't know if my definition is right or not, but that's it.

my opinon:

Men go with younger women so the immaturity levels are the same.

Women are naturally more mature than men the same age, so for a woman who dates a man 15+ years her junior, looks like she can't compete for men in her own age maturity level, and has to trick a child into her claws.
