Your dog is lonely and you feel guilty! You can spend a few extra minutes with her in the morning before you leave, playing or an extra little walk. You can play with her when you get home and try not to think about it so much, you are driving yourself more crazy than your dog is actually being bothered! The dog will be fine. She will adjust to the new schedule in time. Or you can get her a new friend or bring her to doggy day care!

Our pomeranion used to do that too. She got used to it after a while, but I would try to play with her, spend as much time with her as I could, and I would take her for a walk sometimes when she didnt want to play.

i am sorry to hear this and hear are my suggestions. Give your dog a bath and see if that gets him/her less stressed. Also you should brush your dog. Another thing to do is give no table scraps and take your dog on a walk 3 to 4 times a day to keep your dog active...your dog Will get tired but this will keep it in shape and will give more activeness and less deppresive. I dont know if it will work but it worked for my dog.

Well as far as leaving youre dog alone, keep A tv or
radio on.
And make special time for him when comming home like
A special snack and play time, that way he'll know youre
returning and that when you do it's you and his time.

Dogs don't get depressed. Sometimes when there's a dramatic change to their envorinment (like you guys going to back toschool), they'll get lethargic, and it seems like they are depressed. (Depression is a human ailment that requires thinking and dwelling on past or future issues...which Dogs don't do...they live in the moment.) I there anyone at home while you guys are gone that can provide her with some activity, attention, or stimulation?
