Hang in there Alexandra.
Life always gets better.
We are all a little crazy.
You might want to talk to your doctor about adjusting your medication.
Hopefully you wont be alone in the dark for long.
Darkness is much more fun when you share it with someone.
Much love!

Hello
No, your not going crazy. Depression is hard to deal with I should know I'm going through it right now too. My Pdoc started me back on a med i was on years ago it is called Trazadone. I have been on it for a week . Our problem is we want the fix to be done instantly, it doesnt work like that though I know it may take as long as a month for me to feel the full effects of my meds. To the part of the crying that is part of depression your not going crazy. I feel in my heart that you will come through this period and be stronger and will look back on it and be able to laugh about it. Like I said I too am going through a rough time I know you can do this trust in yourself your a strong person.

I got in that way the other day and again today. It really helped me to finally get on the elliptical that I purchased:) I swear it helped. I guess that exercise really does help, along with the medication and therapy. I hate days like that wear I feel lost and that nothing I did works now and that I went tons of steps backwards. That is so depressing. I don't know exactly what causes it, but I feel empty like their is an everlasting void inside of me where no one else can travel to. It is only me to find my way out. I did it somehow today and I swear it was my elliptical that saved me today. My husband was getting pretty pissed at my behavior, so I focused on something else. I hope I can make it tomorrow. You need to try something physical maybe. If your energy levels are really low and you don't think you can exercise, take a nap or relax your mind in someway or even call a friend to listen to their day. Watch a good show, pet your dog. I love my dog--he is a good listener :)

I pray these words will help u, I wrote them Sept.13, 2004they go like this:
HOPE
When I look in the mirror and realize who I see,
I see a horrible hideous person, that person is me.
I've always hated my figure, I tried burning every picture.
Pictures of my past, full of pain and hate gone at last.
I let myself go so, as I grew old,
my tears are lonely, my heart grew cold.
I loved nothing, nobody and no one,
not even the people who called me their son.
Love was so strange as I grew up,
so few were the talks, advice and the hugs.
I felt all alone, a monster was I, my life, I lived it a lie.
True friends I counted all too few,
but those that were, were really true.
As strange as it may seem my life still gleams.
My life I messed it all up with drugs like a dope,
but at the end of every rainy storm, I still have HOPE.

hon, you're not going crazy. depression sucks. and it's not something that you can get out of alone. keep seeing your doc. i'm certain that an adjustment of meds will help you. you see the shrink, is it just for a 15min med check, or is this a "talk" therapist? maybe you need both. set small goals for yourself everyday. SMALL. like get up, take a shower or brush your teeth.

Alexandra - Do you know Jesus Christ? Do you have a Bible to read? When you start crying in the dark, say "Jesus have mercy on me." Every morning, ask Jesus to guide you through the day. Ask Jesus to give you strength to overcome the depression coming against you. Ask Jesus to let you know if there is something you could do in your life to make it better.
Whatever you do, don't stop asking Jesus to help, until He helps you. Start reading the Psalms of the Bible. They are about the middle of your Bible. Read in His Bible everyday until He changes your life. God can change anything and give you a good life. He did it for me and so many people that I can't count the number and He'll do it for you.

No you are not going crazy. Lots of people go through that. Just remember that you are not alone. There is somone out there who cares for you even though you probably don't know Him.

Please be sure to keep your doctor aware of everything. That way, s/he can adjust your medication, see you more often, or whatever it takes to get you through this. All the best to you.
