I had a perfect pair of legs when I was single but now that I have 2 kids, my varicose veins start showing up. What should I do? I am working in the office for 8 hours long.

The only cure for these is surgery either by laser or vein stripping. While these veins can cause pain many insurance companies will not pay for treatment because they consider it to be unnecessary & cosmetic. I beg to differ since mine have caused me many sleepless nights! Things you can do to help prevent worsening of the condition are watching your weight, exercising, drinking plenty of water, don't smoke, and not sitting or standing too long at a time. I work in an office too and make sure that I get up and walk around every hour. If your veins are causing you alot of pain wear flats or pumps to work and never high heels (nothing over 1.5" heel). Wearing tights or support hose also helps give the veins extra support. Hope this helps.

Do you sit with your legs crossed all day? That can make them worse and crossing at the ankle is actually better for your joints all the way up through your hips. It straightens out your body, often improves posture if you sit to the side or slouch. Also, do you wear heals all day? Try taking flats or slippers if you can to work and change into them for a little bit off and on. Heals strain your feet and pull at the veins. My aunt gets bad varicose veins from her heals for work and that usually helps hers after enough time. You could also try finding a scar reducing (use a little bit of that if you do) or skin tone evening lotion and massaging your legs every night to relax the skin some more before going to bed. That could work too I guess since massaging a sore muscle helps. Hope I helped you some! :)

Other than surgically "stripping" and other methods there really isn't much you can do. That's one of the "little" consequences of enjoying sex, getting pregnant and giving birth. When, at a family gathering years ago my sister asked what she could do to keep her 17 year old body from aging to quickly, every woman there past the age of 25 in usison said "DON'T GET PREGNANT". While it is possible to get down to the weight you were before you were pregnant your body has shifted and rearranged itself so that you're not going to fit into the same types of clothing, just as you are not going to have that perfect pair of legs ever again. Just wait until your boobs become Kneecap warmers!

Laser treatments will get rid of them. Sound a little weird, but body makeup can cover them up (like the kind from Sally Hansen or MAC).
