There have been homosexuals almost since the beginning, however few in those early days. That is because it was a choice the most people had the sense not to make. The explosion of homosexuality in modern times is a result of several cultural factors.
First, the decline of the moral life in modern society lends itself well to deviant lifestyles. People no longer believe in God, so there is no reason not to do whatever you want. Closely related to this is the victimization of young people, which scars them psychologically beyond all estimation. Many sexually abused children turn to dangerous and destructive lifestyles as a result of a their abuse - many of them to homosexuality.
Second, more and more people today cannot help the unnatural feelings they have, but not because God made them that way - their parents did. Studies done in the last few years show that high levels of female hormones, like those contained in oral contraceptives, present in an expectant mothers body give male children a much higher chance of being homosexual or abnormally effeminate.
Finally, is it impossible that some are born gay through no fault of their own or their parents? In rare cases, probably yes. Does this mean the God made them that way? God cannot will evil, but by his permissive will he allows evil to occur in the world. If a child is born with a hormone imbalance, it isn't anyone's fault anymore than when a child is born with any other handicap. But, Jesus has redeemed mankind so that we can carry our crosses with patience and love. If a homosexual lived a chaste lifestyle (which is required of all - even heterosexuals) for his whole life, out of love for Christ, I am sure that he would enjoy a great eternal reward in heaven. This is because having homosexual urges is not a sin in and of itself. Living a homosexual lifestyle is. Feelings are not sinful, but actions are.

God does not make people anything that they do not wish to make themselves. He does disapprove of the choice, but all people are entitled to free will, so in truth , they make the choice, and have to eventually answer for it.
Without the power of free will, we would be little more than puppets, and have no real control over our lives.
God hates sin, and in the Bible it states that the wages of sin is death. there is nothing in there that says that you only get that punishment for some sins, the result is the same for all. In God's eye , there is no difference between telling a lie and killing someone. being a homosexual is no different than being anyone else, for all fall short and sin, so we are all condemned to go to Hell if we do not ask for Salvation. nobody has ever lived a flawless life except Jesus, so no one has the right to condemn anyone else.
Anyone who says that they have the right to judge others needs to watch out for themselves, because the Bible also clearly states, Judge not, lest yea should also be judged. there are also many passages that denounce those who do so, and tell that they will be very harshly punished. Christ himself said that God would not recognize their sacrifices until they had made peace with the brethren they had wronged.
hope this was a complete answer for you.

I popped out of my mother's womb 35 years ago.
I wasn't gay or straight, or any one or any thing
because i was a newborn. I didn't have an identity.
Just a name given to me by my parents.
I didn't choose to be born. I'm not omnipotent.
I also wasn't formed from the dust of the ground like Adam. God is against pride, blashphemy, mocking, cursing, and hatred. I've committed all these wrongdoings
several times. He is able to pardon them.
Paying attention to the details of what formed me
was for some time the responsibilty of my parents.
If they werent good at it, the laws of biology and
gravity would have punished them.
God doesn't have to "pay attention." He doesn't have
to look at any thing, or like any thing that we look at.
If he were accountable, he wouldn't be God.
You can pay attention to any details that you wish.
One with power has choices.

God didn't make anyone gay. Homosexuality is a choice and a demon spirit from satan. I don't care how many people say the were born gay, it's just no way. God knew what he was doing, and he never makes a mistake-his thoughts are higher than our thoughts.

Who says he's against it?
Sure its in the bible, but so are a lot of rules that Christians believe are archaic and so don't bother to practice.
In a time when childbirth was horribly dangerous and large number of the children who were born died soon after, it makes sense that every person capable of childbearing would be needed to bare children.
And a big part of keeping a nomadic people organized and together was marriage and child rearing, well they needed everybody to be marrying and having children. So anything that was a barrier to that would be discouraged. And a gay relationship had no chance of yielding children, had no chance of growing a family dependent on having children to work to help the family survive and inherit land and property.
This isn't the case anymore. Society has changed so why wouldn't attitudes about homosexuality. Just because it was a good idea thousands of years ago doesn't mean its a good idea now. And if we get that (most of us anyway) why wouldn't God get that?

He is against it and he didn't make them gay , people have choices and unfortunately some people make the wrong choices, gay is a sin and the bible backs that up , if you gay people didn't know its wrong then why do you keep asking about it, you try to justify what you do with other peoples opinions when you know in your heart its wrong

God didn't make anyone gay, just like he didn't make anyone a liar, a thief, or anything. Sin came in and messed ALL of us up. Homosexuals are no different than thieves, liars, adulterers. They're sinners, and so am I and every other Christian. The worst thing that ever happened to the Christian church was the idea of being right and being righteous. I still screw up, and I'm going to be pastor. The point of the matter is that he is against homosexuality/bisexuality/anything that's not the way it's supposed to be.

You shouldn't mock God. My brother was born with Down's Syndrome. Other kids are born with Spina Bifida. These are things that someone is born with. They can't help it. God does not call these things sin. God created us with a free will to choose, and He has promised never to give any trial or temptation greater than what we are able to bear. That said, He does call homosexuality sin. He calls a lot of things sin. We are no more "born into" homosexuality than we are "born into" stealing. We make choices. God gives us the ability to resist the temptations to do what is contrary to His will for our lives. If we struggle with these temptations, He has provided a way out through His Son Jesus Christ. God can do anything, and He can help us overcome the struggles we face. God IS against homosexuality. He is NOT against Gays. He loves each and every one of us. God is ALL about details. He would never create us to be a certain way and then tell us we are sinning by being that way. Thought-provoking question though.

God created things , allowed things and forbade things.
God gave us a will to chose between good and bad, wrong and right.
God gave us a mind to analyze things.
God gave us a heart to know the truth from falshood.
from his laws : no drinking, no adultery, no killing,.....If we put the word Kill instead of Gay, and put the question again:
why did God make some kill?
I think God didn't make some kill, but they chose to, the same for gay. but the right thing to say is that God doesn't like that but let it happen because he gave us a will to chose, we are free.
in other words, God doesn't like disbelieve but let it happen in his kingdom.
God in the Quran says < if he wanted to guide all mankind he would do so, but for a reason he didn't.> everybody is responsible for his actions, nobody to blame but ourselves.
Islam=means in arabic:submission by our wills to the will of God
